POP star Rihanna is set to perform alongside rockers Coldplay at the closing ceremony of the Paralympic games next month.
A source has revealed that the hit-makers are lined up to sing their collaboration track Princess Of China as part of the extravaganza based on a theme of earth, wind, water, fire and ice.
According to reports Rihanna will take to the stage for a set of her own tracks before she joins front man Chris Martin and his bandmates to sing their duet.
A source told the Daily Star: “All the Closing Ceremony details are top secret but Rihanna has already started rehearsing.
“As soon as Coldplay signed up she was the obvious choice to accompany them on stage.”
The Paralympics kick off on Wednesday, with the schedule of sporting events running for ten days before the closing ceremony on September 9.
During the final day musicians across the UK will take to bandstands to perform their versions of Coldplay’s Viva La Vida simultaneously at 2pm.
Chris Martin said: “It’s a great honour for us to be a part of this. It should be a great moment when the bandstands of Great Britain strike up in unison.”
The Bandstand Marathon will see hundreds of community based outdoor concerts taking oplace between 1pm and 5pm.
